50/70 Division for 13 year olds

Grosse Pointe Woods Shores Little League is excited to announce the launch of the Intermediate League for 2013.  This Division is for players who are 13.  

-Fences are 225 feet from home
-Most competitvie travel baseball programs play on a 50/70 diamond at age 13
-The 50/70 provides an opportunity to transition incrementally from a 40/60 (Little League Diamond Size) to a 60/90 (High School) with the intermediate 50/70
-Provides an opportunity to play competitive baseball with age peers.  Players develop lead offs and pitching from the "stretch" to allow more major league action on the field
